Nosey and Edie have been soaking in the warmer weather lately as often as they can! During the spring, when Tennessee experiences the occasional cold snap, the elephants still have access to their heated barn stalls and are provided with enrichment and browse inside to keep them busy and engaged.
In fact, a new pulley system was just installed inside Asia Barn, and Edie and Nosey both emptied the net attached high on the pulley and filled with hay, which was exactly the positive response the Husbandry Team was hoping for! Thank you to our Maintenance Team for building this new enrichment device which will benefit the elephants greatly in the barn.
