While Staff at The Sanctuary have been working tirelessly to put the final touches on the newly constructed bull barns in preparation for Osh’s arrival, a small team from The Sanctuary’s Husbandry and Veterinary departments recently traveled to California to visit Osh and his current caregivers at the Oakland Zoo.
The team at Oakland Zoo were exceptional hosts, providing insights into Osh’s daily routine, foot care, medical treatments, and transport preparation. Osh is currently working with his care team to voluntarily enter and exit his travel crate, helping him acclimate and feel comfortable for his journey to Tennessee. We’re pleased to report that Osh is progressing well with his crate training and enters readily. We also discovered that he is an excellent browser and enjoys taking a dip in the cool water!
We look forward to welcoming Osh in the coming months and will keep our supporters updated on his arrival.
