The Elephant Discovery Center in Hohenwald, Tennessee recently welcomed a very special guest: the young author of Harper and The Elephant!
Harper has a big passion for elephants AND The Elephant Sanctuary. So much so that she and her mother, Amber, wrote a book, Harper and The Elephant, which was published last year (read more about it here).
Harper collected proceeds from the sales of an elephant “stuffy” which complemented the book, to donate to The Sanctuary and other elephant charities. Harper and her family drove all the way from Ontario, Canada to present the donation (and an autographed copy of the book) in person and to visit the Elephant Discovery Center. We had a blast getting to know Harper and her family!
