Join us on August 17 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Elephant Discovery Center in downtown Hohenwald, Tennessee, for an opportunity to chat with an elephant caregiver!

Celebrate World Elephant Day with Us

First recognized in 2012, World Elephant Day is a global effort dedicated to raising awareness about the critical issues facing elephants and promoting their conservation. This day serves as a platform to honor elephants as keystone species and inspire action to ensure their survival for generations to come. At The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, we are committed to educating our community about elephants and the importance of protecting them and preserving their natural habitats.

Meet an Elephant Caregiver!

As part of our celebration, guests will have the unique opportunity to meet and chat with one of The Elephant Sanctuary's dedicated elephant caregivers. This is your chance to ask questions, learn about the daily care and lives of our beloved elephants, and gain insights into the vital conservation work we do.

  • When: August 17 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Central.
  • Location: Elephant Discovery Center, 27 East Main Street
