The Sanctuary Feed An Elephant!
African and Asian elephants are among the largest animals on the planet – considered “keystone species,” they stimulate their ecosystems and influence all other flora and fauna in their habitats, but are not predators. These giants are all herbivores, and the elephants at The Sanctuary enjoy many of the same healthy foods that are also good for people, including fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains.
Below are some seasonal recipes that are “ele-inspired.” If you make these meals or other plant-based creations at home, share your photos on social media by tagging in The Elephant Sanctuary and using the hashtag #eleinspired. Submit your recipe with this form and it could appear on this page for other elephant lovers to enjoy!
