2025 marks 30 years of providing lifetime care for elephants at The Elephant Sanctuary—and what a milestone year it has been! We welcomed Mikki and Punch from Louisville Zoo, broke ground on the Redbud Barn Expansion Project, and renamed our barns and habitats after Tennessee trees to honor the environment that sustains our elephants and create spaces that can grow with The Sanctuary.
As we celebrate three decades of care for 36 elephants, we are also preparing for the future—expanding habitats, upgrading facilities, and enhancing our Education Program to inspire the next generation of elephant enthusiasts. From barns built to bull-sized standards to upgrades at The Elephant Discovery Center, every project strengthens our mission to create a better world for elephants everywhere.
To kick off our 2025 Year End Campaign, a generous supporter has pledged a $25,000 matching gift, doubling every donation made today. Your gift will go twice as far to provide nutritious food, veterinary care, enrichment, and refuge for elephants who call The Sanctuary home—Artie, Edie, Flora, Mikki, Nosey, Osh, Sukari, Tange, Billie, Debbie, Minnie, Punch, Ronnie, and Sissy—and for those who will join us in the years ahead.
