As the new year fast approaches, we reflect on 2023 and the many achievements at The Elephant Sanctuary, including the addition of five extraordinary elephants from all over the country, the arrival of our first permanent male elephant resident, expansion of habitats, new and exciting social opportunities, and the successful initiation of construction of two new bull barns.

The elephants residing here in Tennessee receive the best individualized care and opportunities for companionship thanks to your support. While the Care Staff and our Veterinary Team meet the complex needs of the elephants inside their habitats, and the Facilities Team tends to the land and structures on-site to accommodate our growing herd, the Education and Outreach Teams empower advocates of all ages through Distance Learning programs and volunteer opportunities.
