Join us on December 21 as we celebrate the holiday season with a festive “Third Saturday” event at The Elephant Discovery Center! We invite community members of all ages to come together and craft elephant-inspired tree ornaments using recycled materials.
Participants will have access to various supplies to create unique ornaments that honor our beloved elephants. Your creations will not only add a festive touch to the season but also serve as a reminder of the importance of sustainability and environmental stewardship. Members of The Sanctuary Staff will be on hand to answer any elephant-related questions.
When: Saturday, December 21, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CDT
Where: The Elephant Discovery Center, 27 East Main Street, Hohenwald, TN 38462
This event is free and suitable for the whole family, so bring your creativity and a desire to have fun!
Last month, The Elephant Sanctuary welcomed community members for a heartwarming event dedicated to creating Thanksgiving-themed enrichment for our 13 resident elephants. Families and friends gathered to paint, decorate pumpkins, and assemble "goodie" bags filled with delightful treats for the elephants, all designed to enhance their holiday festivities. A big thanks to all who joined us for this fun-filled day! Your support and creativity play an essential role in enriching the lives of our elephants and helped prepare for a special celebration!
The elephant habitats are closed to the public. Visitors will not see or interact with the elephants.
